Enrichment Week 2017

Enrichment Week

Welcome to part one of our two part Enrichment Week Special. While the weather might have been against us, the students who attended this years' enrichment week at Sir John Hunt Community Sports College rose to the challenge. Staff and students true character and resilience shone through in epic proportions. A staggering blend of educational, engaging and enjoyable activities resulted in a total of fifteen separate trip options with visits to over fourty five venues reaching as far as Bath, Cardiff and Bristol.

Every student in Years 7 to 9 had the opportunity to leave the College site for at least a day with the majority of students choosing to be out for the entire week. Our Year 10’s were given work experience places and our Year 12 students made visits to a number of universities in preparation for their applications.

Personally I feel the value of learning outside the classroom should never be underestimated and it was a pleasure to watch our students and staff enjoy each others company and hear them talk with excitement about their daily events. I would like to thank all the staff and students for ensuring the week ran so smoothly. Enjoy reading the separate trip accounts and when our Go Pro footage is edited I will ensure it is placed on our College website.
