Tenner Challenge

Tenner Challenge

Year 7 students have been set the £10 challenge as part of the national Tenner campaign. They have been asked to turn a loan of £10 into a profit, by using their creativity and imagination to launch their own businesses.

The Tenner scheme is run by Young Enterprise, the country’s largest enterprise education charity. This year it is being run in partnership with social enterprise agency UnLtd.

Every Friday the students have been able to showcase their businesses by running a tuck shop at break and lunch time. Here we have been treated to lots of goodies including sweet treats and home bakes, as well as a variety of handmade products all of which will have helped to make a profit.

This week we saw an amazing effort from one team who made a spectacular cake that was raffled off and won by Mr Carpenter!

The team have until the end of this week to make their money, at which point all profit will be tallied up and the winner will be announced. The person with the most profit will win Love2shop gift vouchers and those who took part will earn vivos.
